
Submission Guidelines
Please read all of the following information carefully.
General Rules:

The submission must be animated

The entry must be under 10 minutes in length

The entry must have been completed after January 2015

LAFF does not pay screening fees. By submitting your film, you agree to screen your film without a screening fee or any other compensation if selected

The selection and screening of all films screened at LAFF are entirely at the discretion of the festival committee

Filmmaker must own all rights to their film and/or have secured rights
-
Submitted films must be completed, no works in progress, rough cuts, or demo reels

Only online submissions will be accepted, we do not accept hard copies, please do not send DVDs, Blu-rays, etc.

All films not in English must have English subtitles

Submitting your film allows LAFF the right to use short clips or screenshots for promotional purposes only.

One entry per submission form

Submitted entries will automatically be entered into the awards categories: Best in Show, Most Unique, Student Choice, and Upcoming Longwood Student Animator*

Entries that cannot be viewed will not be accepted

Failure to follow the “process for submission” may result in your film not being accepted
*Please note, only current Longwood University students are eligible for the Upcoming Longwood Student Animator award
Exhibition Quality Guidelines:

Minimum resolution is 1280 x 720 with square pixel aspect ratio.

We recommend using H.264 compression
Process for submission:
Please submit your film directly through the FilmFreeway site
Notifications for acceptance to the festival will be around late February and notifications will only be sent to those whose films are accepted.
